Joe & Charlie were married at Stanford Farm, a countryside wedding venue set in the rolling Shropshire landscape near Shrewsbury. Rural venues like this suit Super 8 really well. The natural light, the open fields and the relaxed feel of the day all look lovely on real film.
We shot their day on authentic 8mm Kodak film, choosing our moments carefully rather than filming everything: the quiet glances during the ceremony, the laughter over drinks, the confetti and the first dance. The finished film is warm and grainy, and watching it feels a lot like remembering the day.
